Synopsis
Victorian Britain. Dr Jamie Dodds, a Scottish anthropologist brings back to his country two African pygmies.
These ‘wild dwarfs’ very quickly become objects of desire. His fellow scientists think they hold the secret to the origin of man, while others want to profit financially by displaying these exotic curiosities. Jamie alone starts to perceive them not as wild animals but as human beings. A sweeping historical drama capturing a period of European history whose morality posterity would probably wish to forget.
